A comedy based sketch show. First played in 1994 at the Peckham Civic suite, then picked up to play at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which was a sellout winning critical acclaim. The show over the years has returned time and time again to great audience and great reviews, playing several times at The Theatre Royal Stratford East, and The Hackney Empire.

The show returns later this year to celebrate 20 years.

Angie Le Mar wrote Funny Black Women, simply because as an actress, she never saw enough black women doing comedy in the UK whereby they were portrayed as funny sexy and cool. She has achieved over the years, and is looking forward to stepping back on stage with her ground breaking show.
